Renewed Strategy for Poly Coated Paper Alliance

The Poly Coated Paper Alliance (PCPA) — managed by RRS — has launched a renewed national strategy to make poly coated paper products like cups and ice cream tubs a routine part of curbside recycling. The plan focuses on closing data gaps, strengthening end markets, creating unified design guidance, and aligning coated paper recovery with new extended producer responsibility (EPR) laws taking effect in several U.S. states. By integrating research, market development, and design standards, PCPA’s work positions coated paper for greater recyclability and circularity across the packaging value chain.
